More than 200 guests attended the annual Hinsdale Historical Society luncheon “Bringing Color Back… In a New Way” on Thursday, March 10th at the Hinsdale Golf Club. The event was chaired by Alexis Braden, Anna Fiascone, and Sarah Zielke and featured a panel discussion by esteemed designers. The inaugural Hinsdale Historical Society Preservation Award was presented to Jennifer and Neal Reenan for their restoration efforts of Hinsdale’s landmarked Orland P Bassett House (American Beauty House), which was heavily damaged by a fire a few years back. Designer Elizabeth Krueger of Elizabeth Krueger Design and Joel Rafferty of Michael Abraham Architecture accepted the award on the Reenan’s behalf. Lastly, the Hinsdale Historical Society annual tea towel was unveiled – commemorating Hinsdale’s historic Dean House, which was demolished in 2019. All proceeds from the tea towel sales will benefit the Historical Society – photos by Marcello Rodarte
