More than 400 Western Springs residents and District 101 parents attended “A Night in Havana,” the Western Springs Foundation for Educational Excellence’s (WSFEE) biennial spring soiree, at The Drake Oak Brook on May 14. Through sponsorships, ticket sales and a smattering of generous live-auction bids, the soiree raised more than $180,000.00 for WSFEE. Guests donned their favorite tropical, Cuban-inspired attire, enjoying live musical entertainment courtesy of the Cuban ensemble Charangueo.
